Frequently asked questions
What is full-spectrum CBD oil?
It is an oil which, apart from the percentage of CBD specified on the label, also contains the entire spectrum of other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids.
What is the difference between full-spectrum CBD or CBG oil, and the oil which contains only CBD or CBG isolate?
Due to a synergic effect of active compounds (cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids), the effect of a full-spectrum oil is much better than that of an oil which contains the isolate of only one cannabinoid.
What is the difference in the effects of CBD and CBG?
The page entitled “Cannabis” contains a table showing ailments which certain cannabinoids can help alleviate.
The data in the table should be taken as general guidelines and products should be selected according to one’s own experience. Namely, both CBD and CBG are substances whose effect is individual and considerable discrepancies in the modality, intensity and onset time are possible, depending on various individual factors.
What are the advantages of nanoemulsion in comparison with oil?
Nanoemulsion acts much faster and its usability, depending on the size of the nano-particles, is at least five times greater. Apart from being more economical, a nanoemulsion is soluble in water or other non-oily liquids, which broadens its possible usage.
What is the recommended daily dose?
For 10% oils and 2.5% nanoemulsions, the recommended daily dose is 1-3 drops, i.e. over a longer period of time it is advisable to use the minimum doses which have an effect on an individual. Namely, it is a substance whose effect is individual and dependent on a number of factors, which is why some people might require considerably higher daily doses. In this case, the dosage should be increased gradually and the minimum effective doses should be used.
The general guidelines for daily doses with regard to individual factors can be divided into three categories: minimum, standard and maximum doses. Minimum doses for 10% oils and 2.5% nanoemulsions would be approximately 0,3-6 drops (as support in case of daily stress or minor sleeping disorders); standard dose is approximately 3-30 drops (to alleviate more serious ailments), while the maximum dose is 15-240 drops (in case of severe ailments).
Are there any reported side-effects?
Both CBD and CBG are considered as safe substances (see blog “Is CBD safe?”), whether they are used orally or through the skin. Mild side-effects, such as dazedness, dry mouth, loss of appetite or nausea have been reported during scientific research studies, where rather high concentrations of CBD were used. This mainly applies to test subjects who used medications at the same time.
